Ucp holds Seminar

Lahore: University of Central Punjab (UCP) Department of Media and Communication Studies organised a seminar titled “Quality of Media content, role of regulators, media professionals and owners” here on Monday.

On the occasion, speakers motivated the students citing the quality and ethical Journalism practiced by Molana Zafar Ali Khan, Hameed Nizami and Majeed Nizami.

Saleem Bukhari editor the daily Nation, Faculty Dean  Dr Mughees-u- din  Sheikh,  analyst Salman Abid and Neo News Director  Muhammad Usman were also present.

Saleem Bukhari said that the print media’s content is a more authentic proof while electronic media’s content can not be review. He said the print media is more responsible for a single word which publish in newspapers than electronic media.

To a question Saleem said that to practice the ethical Journalism, PFUJ, CPNE, APNS and other journalsit bodies to set up ideal code of ethics themselves. He further said that government should not be allowed to make reforms and amendments in journalism.

Senior analyst Salman Abid expressed his views, “media owners have vested interest and spin around  political situation mostly” he said. He added that the meltdown content quality of electronic media is damage our behavior and tolerance. He pointed out that the rating points of the programs has stay away from social issues. The media owners should follow the gate keeping policy to provide quality content and can make accountable the wrong doing in both media.

The reporter should must learn about national interest and understand  foreign​ policy of the country.

“We ignoring Development Journalism and street journalism which have great impact to highlight the issues” he remarked. “State should pay it’s role to make quality Journalism” he concluded.

Muhammad Usman and Dr Mughees-u- Din were also addressed.

On the occasion, a number of students were also present and a question answer session was also helpful for students to understand issues.

LAHORE: A one-day International conference titled “Hazrat Sultan Bahu and Molana Rumi” held yesterday in collaboration with Muslim Institute and  Persian Department of  Punjab University.

Speakers said that it is dire need to remove pro western behavior from the minds of the Muslims thoughts to preach the Sufi ideology and philosophy.

They said that Sufi believes in bestows the gifts to the people that nor demanded anything from the people and those creeds or beliefs which cause the fall of human from its rank is against the teaching of Sufis and Islamic ideology. They were of the view that youth should be reading books which leads them into a right way of thinking and tried to follow the Sufi’s teaching and adopt their principals.

The colonial system had deprived Muslims from their heritage and we can make better our cultural  by spreading teaching of Hazrat Sultan Bahu and Molana Rumi.

On the occasion, speakers lauded that youth have unaware  from our heritage, conference held to  re-introduce the  great Muslim philosophers and thinkers and explain in conference,  the western has progressed through Muslim literature.

“Rumi is  a philosopher who reads throughout Europe in 21 1st century,” speakers said.

Vice Chancellor of Punjab University Dr Zaffar Moeen Nasr, Chairman Higher Education Commission Punjab, Chairman Punjab HEC Dr Nizamudin, Tajkistan Ambassador Ali Janu, Senator Arif Ullah Pashtoon Chairman, Member International Affairs Commission, Council General Iran Muhammad Hussain Bani Asadi,  Professor Dr Muhammad Mehdi Fordosi University Iran, President Chamber of Commerce Abdul Basit and Chairman Muslim Institute Sultan Ahmed Ali and others spoke on the occasion.

The World Under Signature

The new shift has been  started  after Trump becoming an  American president.  The surprise winning of Republican candidate considered as bad omen for America from the announcement as next Washington ruler. Actually during  throughout the election campaign he had promised to American bring reforms for new hope in country.

The destiny of the people is in under Trump’s presidential pen.

They elect him themselves they are responsible for his deed dains. A point is that why Americans elect him off course they voted him on the basis of his policies. No doubt they would change their perception about Trump in next election.

The slogan “Make America great again” revolves around America. The question should be raised in which sense they will become great. Let’s discuss in development point of view. Was he not opposite Obama Healthcare programme while the programme most beneficial for common citizen. Would Trump administration bring most beneficial health programme for citizen or they simply do ammendment in health Law.

Would Trump adminsitration do remarkable regarding abortion policy as a huge campaign driven against trump to stop abortion policy beacuse it is inhuman manner to kill new soul.

Donald Trump had said he would withdrawn Paris agreement. The world is under threatening due to huge emission of green house gases. He simply spin saying that ” This is human science”.  His cabinet has withdrawn environment regulations and save million dollars to shift the game. Obviously it can be harmful for external world.

“First American” policy is looking humorous act because a perabolic hight of black and white discrimination has been continuing  for years. He should control first this discrimination. A lot of racis lives in America. He should remove this perception to give them equal rights.

The equation “Make America great again” is not favourable for the world because the new born  administration has withdrawn the developmental accords.

Trump orders ban on  seven muslim countries visas have shaken the world politics inside and outside of the America. Why he wants muslim outside from America or wants throw muslim accused them as illegal, curupt, not fit for America or involve in heneous crime why? They are living there years a years and contributing in American progress. 

The degree of criticism was unmeasureable of his order. However, the court disapprove his order.

I think Trump resume office  very first day order draw a ghost of uncertanity. He starts throw playcards in the sense of economic shift. To fulfilling his promise he came to power and announced early to make a wall alonside Mexico Border. It can be big deal for labour force if wall once make. In case of border wall not happen to make then how would he control economic pull out from there?  How would he provide economic opportunities to labour force?

Besides this he also has withdrawn TTP. What will happen  to their economies.  (Twelve neighbouring coutries) How much danger  for the withdrawn of world trade organization. Is he started new era of shifting economy chess game?

Have Americans elect Trump for this new kind of economic game. Because these treaties were making healthy economy for the world.

He changed the economy game masterly while on other side of the ground he was giving a good gesture to Russia and China for welcoming new game.

Trump bows towards Russia during his election campaign praising Putin.  What kind of relations would established between Mosco and Washington? As he said ” It could be Russia” “It could be China” or someone else. In a lot of interviews he was saying same statement. A posture for close friendly in future maybe with Russia because at that time  American high officials were saying that the Russian behind the hacking.

Asif Chaudary/ Imran Gabol  Feb 14,2017  LAHORE:                                                             Attack on protest near Punjab Assembley                                                                                      A suicide blast claimed by a Taliban faction ripped through the camp of protesting chemists in front of the Punjab Assembly on Monday evening, leaving 13 people dead and 70 others wounded.

Senior police officers were trying to convince the chemists to call off the protest when the bomber, who apparently had mingled with the protesters, stepped forward to get close to the negotiators and blew himself up.

The protest on The Mall was being held against recent amendments to the Drug Act which the chemists called a ‘black law’. Lahore Traffic DIG retired Captain Syed Amad Mobin, SSP Zahid Gondal (acting DIG operations) and four other personnel were killed along with seven civilians. It was arguably the first suicide attack in Lahore to have claimed lives of two senior police officers.

The powerful explosion — res­ponsibility for which was claimed by the Jamaat-ul-Ahrar faction of the banned Pakistan Tehreek-i-Taliban — threw people to the ground and panicked people were seen running for cover. Witnesses said that the site was littered with limbs and blood spattered all around.

The explosion was so powerful that windowpanes of many vehicles and nearby buildings were shattered. Two cars parked near the Punjab Assembly building caught fire. Some motorbikes and vehicles were destroyed. Zeshan, one of the injured, said he fell unconscious because of the impact of the blast. “I could hear cries of wounded people lying around me.”

Reflecting the poor state of the government-run services to respond to in such situations, Zeshan said that no-one came to rescue him and he dragged himself to an ambulance. “We just couldn’t understand what happened,” Tufail Nabi, one of the injured, told a private news TV channel. “It was as if some big building collapsed,” he said, as he limped away.

The last time Lahore was rocked by a terrorist attack happened 11 months ago when a huge suicide bombing in the city’s Gulshan Iqbal Park left scores dead. Talking to Dawn, Capital City Police Officer retired Captain Amin Wains said it appeared that the suicide bomber was a young man.

Lahore Counter-Terrorism Department head SP Muhammad Iqbal said the bomber apparently wanted to target the senior police officers. Police said the bomb weighed between six and eight kilograms. They quoted witnesses as saying that the suicide bomber was about 20 years of age.

Some witnesses and doctors at the state-run hospitals told Dawn that the death toll might increase as about 20 of the injured were in critical condition. Shortly after the incident, Rangers and other law enforcement personnel cordoned off the entire vicinity amid fears of a second blast. Rescue 1122 ambulances shifted the injured to hospitals.

An emergency was declared in all government-run hospitals in the city. Cameraman of the Daily Khabrain, Sajjad Mughal, who was there to cover the protest, told reporters that the bomber walked to the place where officers were holding talks with the demonstrators and blew himself up.

He said that more than 200 people were present there when the blast took place. “I saw a young man heading towards the gathering and in the next movement there was a big bang. I lost my senses for awhile.

When I regained my senses, I saw people lying in a pool of blood,” Mr Mughal said. Rescue 1122 spokesman Jam Sajjad said the ambulances shifted 69 injured to nearby hospitals — 32 to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, 22 to Mayo Hospital and two to Lahore General Hospital.

He confirmed 10 deaths. The Lahore deputy commissioner said that at least 11 casualties had been confirmed. Mayo Hospital chief executive Prof Dr Asad Aslam said they had received two bodies, including that of SSP Gondal.

He said three of the injured were in critical condition. Three of the deceased policemen were identified as ASI Amin, Elite Fore constables Irfan Mahmood and Mohammad Aslam .  Originally published by Dawn Pakista

A Piece for ‘Peace’

People lives on earth like stars lives in sky but stars as compare to human looks always shine and peaceful.  Do you see for a moment? No, because you don’t have time to enjoy nature. You have ever seen peaceful sky and stars. Why they are so peaceful? Because they are true companions and does’t have any kind of envy, materialistic or selfish. I always enjoy thier peaceful spirit of living. Although birds, plants, animals etc are also living peaceful and harmonious life with each other.

Besides human being is living in this world with different religious affiliation. A number of religion are being practiced like Islam, Buddhism, Christian, Judaism, Hinduism etc. All the religion accpet it’s mutual understanding, brotherhood, morality, tolerance  and equality. These are the golden principals that are the key for rest of the world.

“Tolerance means bundle of opportunities provide people make for peaceful world”

People also living different colors, culture, languages etc. They behave different ways both harsh and light mood. The ins and outs of the human behavior have different reasons. Limited resources have made them limited and harsh with each other. They live for themselves. They earn for themselves. They want get luxurious life only for themselves.

How much this behavior harmful for humanity?  No doubt,  the meterialism have give dangerous shape for poor. Sometime they feel isolate and deprive from basic health facilities.

It seems the world have divided into two pieces. The poor and the richest. Yes really it is the story of the every society. Nobody take serious steps for thier revial.

It’s happening only due to inequality, unequal distribution of wealth, injustice, intolerance etc. It’s a dire need to remove the weaknesses immediately to balance the society.
